Couple Sees Tiny Animal Stranded On The Highway, But what Was That?

Do you believe in fate?

Many animal lovers do. Many think they came upon a certain animal because it was meant to happen.

And you know, maybe that’s true in the case of Phil…

But let’s start at the beginning:

Danielle Finley and her boyfriend were driving down a Pennsylvania dirt road when they spotted a strange-looking animal.

It was sitting in the middle of the road and even when the car approached, it didn’t move.

And they couldn’t really tell what the four-legged thing actually was…at first they thought it was a hyena.

But no, it wasn’t a hyena. In fact, the couple got a great look when it ran right up to their window!

As it turned out, it was a stray hairless Cairn terrier. And he looked as if he was starving to death.

So Danielle and her boyfriend gave him some food and took him home. They named the rescued dog Phil.

But Phil unfortunately had other issues.

The reason why Phil was hairless, for example, was because of a severe skin condition. Maybe that’s why he’d been abandoned…?

Furthermore, the vet noticed the poor dog’s teeth had been ground down, so maybe Phil had been kept in a crate.

Then when Phil’s health issues spiraled, the negligent owner just dumped him.

But now that Phil has a new home, he’s starting to recover his health and his spirits. Said Danielle:

He just wants to lay with you and be with you, and he wants to relax with you all of the time.

On top of that, there’s his little face—he’s got this look in his eye like he’s grateful all of the time.

It’s like he can’t believe that he’s got a comfy place to lie every day.

Danielle has three other dogs, too, so Phil has plenty of canine company!

Phil’s skin condition has improved quite a bit as well and his fur is returning, so that’s a very good sign.

In the end, this hairless dog found exactly the right people…and all he did was sit in the middle of a dirt road.

Definitely sounds like fate, doesn’t it? Finished Danielle:

He’s the sweetest dog. And we feel so lucky to have him.
